Say Your Name
Write about your first name: Are you named after someone or something? Are there any stories or associations attached to it? If you had the choice, would you rename yourself?
I was told at one time time that I was named after a popular Circuit Court Judge who served on the bench in our part of the state when I was born. I am quite happy with the name Leland. I have had to repeat it most of my life over the phone. I either lisp, or the name Leland come out crosswise, right from my own lips. I have gotten accustomed to using the name so I do believe I will keep it. It doesn’t look like going through the troubles of renaming myself would be worthwhile, changing required paperwork deletes that thought quickly.
