Microwave Caramel Corn.

1 c. brown sugar                 1/2 c. margarine

1/4 c. dark syrup                 1/2 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. salt                          10 cups popped corn

Combine first 4 ingredients in 2 qt. microwave dish. Bring mixture to a boil on full power. Once he comes to a boil, boil for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and stir in soda. Put popped corn in a large brown paper sack, pour syrup over popped corn and shake. Cook in paper sack on high for 11/2 minutes. Remove sack from microwave and shake again. Cook on high 11/2 minutes longer. Pour on cookie sheet to cool. (Be careful with sack as it is VERY hot and steamy when opened.
